LANCASTER CITY EMERGENCY MEETING MINUTES
The Lancaster City Council met in an emergency meeting to discuss resignation of Liquor Store Manager; temporary replacement; job description and job advertising on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Center. The following members were present: Mayor Mike Olson, Luke Nordin, Jim Hilman, Faye Potrament and Kathy Bernstrom. Also, in attendance Anna Jauhola, Kittson County Enterprise reporter.
Mayor presented Jennifer Rice’s letter of resignation. Potrament moved to accept the resignation effective January 2, 2021; second by Bernstrom and carried.
Council reviewed the employee closeout and return of City/Liquor Store property and information form and asked clerk to email to Rice and ask her to bring items to the January 1st inventory.
Council discussed hiring a temporary replacement Manager until such time that a Manager can be hired. Potrament move to have Hilman and Nordin contact other employees and hire a temporary replacement at the rate of $20.50 per hour, second by Bernstrom and carried.
Council reviewed and revised Liquor Store Manager job description. Hilman moved to approve the job description, second by Nordin and carried.
Council reviewed and revised advertisement for the Part time Liquor Store Manager job. Potrament moved to advertise in Kittson Co. Enterprise, North Star News, Northern Watch, Northland Trading Post, and other local venues; second by Bernstrom and carried.
Council will at their next meeting se parameters for applicant review, interviews.
Meeting was adjourned as there was no further business.
